I will only accept pens that I'm experienced with working on. Email me if you have
any questions
and/or have a pen that you would like restored, and I'll let you know if I'm up for
the challenge.
I collect vintage fountain pens, primarily from the 1920's era. Given that many of them
are now over a century old,
they will almost always need restoration. For some models, it's as easy as cleaning out
any dried ink and
replacing any sacs (which would hold the ink).
Other times, pens arrive incredibly damaged, to the point that even professional
restorers are unwilling to fix it.
These include large inconvenient cracks, and important pieces missing (where
replacements are impossible to find).
That's where I come in.
I specialize in mostly... untraditional methods of restoration. That'll mean fabricating
new pieces out of
brass, sterling silver sheet metal, and even epoxy putty when need be. With certain
spare parts being so hard
and expensive to find, this is the best you can usually do. I also occasionally do
urushi work when I have
spare time.
