What do I do?

CAD experience since 2016

  • Fusion 360 (preferred)
  • Solidworks
  • Blender (sculpting)

Other computational software:

  • ANSYS Fluent - currently studying
  • Autodesk CFD, FEA
  • XFOIL

Model aviation since 2013

Building RC airplanes from scratch, using composite materials, 3D printing, balsa, and/or foamboard. All self-taught, from experience and independent research.

6+ years working in aeronautical research

  • 2021-2022: Awarded Regeneron Semifinalist
  • 2023-2024: Intern at Duke Aerolasticity Research Team
  • 2025: Researcher and co-author under Dr. Earl Dowell & Dr. Luisa Piccolo Serafim
  • 2026: Co-author for experimental aeroelasticity research (published!)
  • 2026 summer: Learning ANSYS Fluent to predict elastic deflection of hypersonic intake ramp (for scramjets)

3+ years coding (Python)

It ain't much, but it's honest work. Most of the time coding it was used as a tool to aid in research. Animation above is from research in simulating a 3-celestial body system in Python.

Digital & traditional art

I like to draw digital and/or traditional art as a side hobby, and primarily focus on drawing animals as a means of taking a break from all the hard edges you often see while CADding. I have also taken two art classes in college, and they're some of the most fun classes I've had!

Drone racing

I recently got into drone racing at my college, and participated in the 2024 and 2025 Collegiate Drone Racing Championship! I was still a rookie during the 2024 races and barely qualified, but was able to get 2nd place in the finals sports bracket [placements 33-48] in 2025!

I mostly helped in co-leading the club in 2026, and placed in the middle 17-32 bracket in the 2026 championship!

  • My 2024 qualifying race!
  • My 2025 finals race!
  • Photography

I also recently got into photography! It really is a mindset that gives you a heightened awareness of the nature around you.

I currently use a Nikon Zfc, and carry a 18-140mm Z DX and 70-300mm AF-P DX VR lens.

    Fountain Pens and Watches

I happen to also like collecting fountain pens and watches! I've been restoring vintage fountain pens since 2021, and have serviced two watch movements in my time. I am by no means a professional, but I like to keep my hands busy with this kind of stuff.

(unfortunately no button for watch service pics)
